Lighting Solutions

At Garden Spaces, we recognise that lighting is an important part of your overall garden building design, both in terms of security and the atmosphere it can help to create. So we offer a range of lighting solutions, all of which can be wired in and certified by our fully qualified electricians.

Interior Lighting

Internally, we offer a range of stylish and highly energy efficient lighting solutions (including Down light, Strip light and Wall lights), all driven by cutting edge LED technology and IP65 rated. The LED downlights we supply have not only possess super longevity but are dimmable, come in warm or cool white light options, and also a choice of bezel colour (brushed metal or white).

Exterior Lighting

Externally, we offer downlight (IP65 rated, with a choice of brushed metal, or black bezels) and Up/Down lights (GU10 LED, IP65 rated, in brushed metal, or black finish). These light can be controlled via internal, or external switches, and can also be controlled by PIR sensors (with functionality that can be turned on or off). For addition light and security, we also offer bright LED lights with an integrated PIR sensor.

Keeping you Connected

Whether you’re setting up a garden office or you simply want to surf the internet from the comfort of your new garden room – Garden Spaces can make sure you have all the connectivity you need.

For Internet and WiFi connection we suggest clients install dLan AV Wireless technology. We have experience with a number of solutions and can offer advice in choosing the most suitable option for your property.

This sends the broadband signal, with connection speeds of up to 200 Mbps, via the power line which we usually install as part of the electrical package.

It’s extremely straightforward to use. All you have to do is plug your broadband router into the device and then plug it into a wall socket inside the house. Your computer should then recognise the new network.

In your garden room, simply plug into to any power socket in the garden building, enter a few codes and your Internet connection will be up and running.

You can wire three separate devices in the garden building, or simply work wirelessly using the WLAN connection to your laptop and printer (if they have wireless functionality).

This is a very neat and cost effective solution, with a 3-year hardware warranty included.

Smart Control for your Garden Room

Control the look and feel of your space with Lightwave’s smart control system and products. Entertaining? Quiet evening in? Create the perfect mood and scene, however you want your Garden Space to feel.

Away from home? Use Lightwave’s automatic control system to set schedules for lights to come on at certain times to simulate occupancy. You can even make sure you arrive at a well-lit and optimally warm room.

Lightwave products seamlessly integrate with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control your home from your smartphone or tablet, from wherever you are.

Sockets and Switches

We supply a variety of brushed metal switches and sockets to make your garden spaces function perfectly.

We can also offer white surface mount electrical items, (switches, sockets and lighting) to reduce puncturing the inner skin of the building, and thus enhancing acoustic performance.

The location of these electrical items is often dictated by building control but we can place these pretty much anywhere you desire even at high level for TV’s. We also offer the possibility to install floor/island sockets for things such as gym equipment.

Consumer unit/Fuse Board

Every building we supply comes with it’s own consumer unit that safely contains a variety of MCB’s (Miniature Circuit Breakers) for various circuits within the structure. Our units are white (never off white plastic) and designed to be as unobtrusive as possible. Wherever possible we will locate these units in a store or cupboard but always complying with Part P electrical requirements.

External Weatherproof Power Socket

As power is already being run to your buildings location, why not take advantage and choose to have an external weatherproof power socket (double or single). From feedback from previous clients, we know these little additions offer the functionality and flexibility that really pay off in the long run. A local power source in the garden is always of great benefit for all manner of electrical devices such as mowers and strimmers.
